A tradition which regularly renews and can unite sport – in this case biking, an example of dedication and perseverance in pursuing one\u2019s goals \u2013 and the international promotion of Marche as a beautiful, exciting and variegated land. This edition\u2019s path shall be characterized by strong differences in altitude which shall put to the test talents and stamina of athletes, but shall certainly live in their hearts a lasting memory of our beautiful territory\u2019s landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marche shall be touched by four legs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foligno to Fossombrone<\/strong>
Riders shall go biking From Umbria to Marche along typical wavy local roads, surrounded by the smells of the beginning springtime, through the Terre Roveresche land, the Cartoceto olive groves, in the Serrungarina microscosm, and Isola del Piano, where the Monti della Cesana can be admired, up to the finish in Fossombrone, a cradle of history, art, culture, music and nature.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colli al Metauro to Recanati<\/strong>
The leg starts in the peaceful and quiet Colli Al Metauro and heads for such sea towns as Marotta, Senigallia and Falconara; it then moves into the hinterland spiritual context of Loreto and finally comes up Leopardi\u2019s Hill of Infinity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matelica to Jesi<\/strong>
From Matelica, in the charming valley closed east by Monte San Vicino and the Sibillini mountains south, the leg heads for Castelraimondo, an agricultural and industrial centre dominated by the vestiges of \u201cCassero\u201d (\u201cBridgehouse\u201d), and for San Severino Marche, a lively scenery of castles, towers and buildings; it then climbs up Pietra Rossa Pass towards Cingoli, famous because of its terrace which dominates the whole region; it continues along sweet, continuous slopes through Apiro and Montecarotto and finally reaches to a flat and pleasant road leading to Jesi, the city where emperor Frederick II was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

San Benedetto del Tronto<\/strong>
Here an individual time trial takes place on a flat path by the sea flanked by 7000 palm trees on the most beautiful beach in Marche, a natural environment  with no compare in Europe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
